87, died at 2:47 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Avice was born on March 3, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio to Harry T. & Laura Roderick. On Saturday, December 22, 1951, she married Alson Scrivner, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2013.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1947 and attended Miami University and The Ohio State University. She retired from J.C. Penney where she had worked from 1966-1991.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandi (Tim) Frueh, of Kettering, OH, Jennifer Scrivner, of San Francisco, CA, a son, Stuart (Laura) Scrivner, of Harrison, OH, two granddaughters, Ashley Scrivner, of Toledo, OH and Thailyr (Fiancé-P.J. Jaegersen) Scrivner of Columbus, OH.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Rev David Harris will officiate. Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
Private family entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
