Betty Joyce Strahm,

90, passed away at 3 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima.

Betty was born on Saturday, April 10, 1926, in Bluffton, to the late William W. and Evelyn A. (Vail) Hahn. On Sunday, April 13, 1947, she married Jack N. Strahm, who preceded her in death June 18, 2015.

Mrs. Strahm was a member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church. She had worked as a Secretary for the Dana Corporation and at the First National Bank/Huntington West St. Branch. She taught china painting for 15 years. She was a member of the IPAT-International Porcelain Art Teachers Association. She was a graduate of the Northwestern Business College (School of Commerce).

She is survived by: a daughter, Barbara (Robert) Stonehill of Elida; a son, Jack A. (Sue) Strahm, Sr. of Lima; two sisters, Jo Anne (Don) Coats and Karon (Fred) Makrancy; brother-in-law, Walter Martin; grandchildren, Troy Stonehill, Rob T. Stonehill, Jack A. Strahm, Jr. and Adele M. Halker; step grandchildren, Amy Deaton and Shane Furr and eighteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a sister Barb Martin.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 1 PM on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Tim Benjamin will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
