Brian Mitchell LaRue
46, of Columbus, formerly of Lima, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He had been ill for some time.
He was born on June 28, 1967 in Lima, to Dennis and Karen (Huber) LaRue. His father preceded him in death and his mother remarried in 1973 to Russell G. Kaufman, they survive in Lima.
Brian attended The Ohio University and Columbus State University. He loved music and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, camping and going to the beaches. He worked at Citicorp for many years until his illness.
He is survived by two sisters: Cindy (Bill) Lee of Lakeview, OH, and Debbie (Jeff) Deerhake of Kingwood, TX; two stepsisters, Kathy (Dennis) Pierson of Dublin, OH, Vickie (Kendall) House, of Lima, OH, one stepbrother, Rusty (LuAnn) Kaufman of Waynesfield, OH; a half sister, Jody (Doug) Eads of Decatur, IN, and a half brother, Jeff (Jesyka) LaRue of El Paso, TX. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends and very special friends Michael Sizemore and Matt Edmiston of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A memorial service will begin at on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Edward Rinehart will officiate.
Interment of the cremains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date
