Clyde "Butch" Rumer ,

77, passed away at 9:50 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

"Butch" was born on July 14, 1937, in Lima, to Bitler and LaVaun (Hower) Rumer who preceded him in death. On December 07, 1956, he married Patricia (Laman) Rumer who survives him.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed for more than 45 years at the Lima Ford Motor Company as a supervisor and machinist. His hobbies were fishing, riding motorcycles and shooting guns.

"Butch" was a 50 year member of the Wayne Lodge #569;.32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason-Valley of Dayton; the Union Local #1219; Special Deputy with Allen County Sherriff's Office from "1975-Present", 28 year member of the F.O.P.A. and Lima Eagles Aerie #370. He was also a 40 year member of the Blue Knights. "Butch" was Life Member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the American Motorcycle Association. He was also a charter member of the Local HOG Chapter and the Hirams Riders Chapter of the Widow's Sons.

He leaves sons, Rodney (Pam) Rumer, Mustang , OK, Ricke Rumer, Lima, Randy Rumer, Carbondale, IL, Jesse (Kasey) Rumer, Lima; Daughter, Brenda (Bruce) Dodge, Ft. Wayne, IN,; Brother's, Lowell "Stub" (Linda) Rumer, Waynesfield, John (Annie) Rumer, Harrod, Clarence (Pam) Rumer, Lima; Sister, Dimond (Bill) Meyers, Houghton Lake, MI,; 10 - grandchildren, 10 - great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and his beloved Dog, "Harley Ultra.

He was preceded in death by, one brother - Greg Rumer.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Service.

A funeral service will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

The family request casual attire.

Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate.
