82, died at 2:35 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

Darrell was born on June 6, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Herbert A. Frysinger and Mabel M. (Jones) Frysinger.

Mr. Frysinger retired from General Dynamics Army Tank Plant after 14 years. He married Barbara Kaufman on June 25, 1960. She survives in Elida. He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Gomer United Church of Christ, Gomer, Ohio.; American Legion #96; VFW #15036 and the Northwest Ohio Welsh Society.

He is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Lee Frysinger, OH, Debora (Virgil) Moore, of Hamden, OH, Julie Marie (Mathew) Acome, of San Antonio, TX, a son, Darrin Frysinger, of Wapakoneta, OH; five grandchildren, Sarah Reichert, Zachery Frysinger, Matthew Acome, Preston Acome, Rachel Acome; two step granddaughters, Katlyn and Molly Moore; two brothers, Alan E. (Carolyn) Frysinger, of Bluffton, OH, Thomas C. (Phyllis) Frysinger, of Springfield, OH and a sister, Norma J. Jacoby, of Elida, OH.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl E. Frysinger and a son-in-law, Tom Reichert.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Gomer Congregational Church in Gomer, OH. Rev. Brian Knoderer will officiate.

Interment will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
