Frances Cecilia Mrugala, 88, died at 6:45 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Lima Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Frances was born on Wednesday, November 18, 1925, in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, to Fred Mrugala and Frances [Magierski] Mrugala, who preceded her in death.
Frances graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in Altoona, PA. She then worked at Mercy Hospital as a Registered Nurse for thirteen years. Following that, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Maternity Ward at St. Rita's Medical Center for 27 years. She retired from St. Rita's in 1988. She was a member of St Charles Burromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio.
Frances is Survived by; a sister, Theresa Plaskey, of Lima, OH; two nephews, Charles (Jennifer) Plaskey, of Perrysburg, OH, and Fred (Sandy) Mrugala, of Baltimore, MD; and a niece, Mary Frances (Steven) Degol, of Northern Cambria, PA.
She is preceded in death by the following family members: brother & sister-in-law, John (Frances) Mrugala, brother, Fred Mrugala, sister, Elizabeth Mrugala and her brother-in-law, Charles Plaskey.
The family will receive friends one hour before Mass at St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 23, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, OH. Visitation will occur at the church one hour prior to Mass. Father David M. Ross will officiate. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 25 at Northend Cemetery, Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania.
