Harry O. Butterfield

Harry O. Butterfield Jr., 88, died at 3:54 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Willow Ridge Nursing Home in Bluffton, Ohio.
Harry was born on Wednesday, April 1, 1925, in Oxford, Ohio, to the late Harry O, Butterfield Sr. and Etha [Holmes] Butterfield.

On Tuesday, December 16, 1947, in , he married Peggy Ann [Trempert] Butterfield and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Butterfield was a self employed, owner of Harry Butterfield Builders. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1275, a member of Perry School Board for eight years and he served in Army Air Corp during World War II.

He is survived by two sons; Bert (Rosie) Butterfield of Harrod and Brad (Denise) Butterfield of Cridersville, a daughter; Belinda (Bill) Gardner, Canal Winchester, OH, six grandchildren; Rick, Jamie, Randy, Joshua, Alethea and Ryan, twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister; Betty Kelly, Allentown, PA, .

He was preceded in death by three brothers; Mel, Calvin "Cal", & Eugene Butterfield, three sisters; Audre Sheard , Imogene Becker and Thelma Brown.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Bill Gardner officiating. followed by military honors conducted by VFW Post #1275.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
