Hershell N. Hutson

Hershell N. Hutson, 83, passed away at 5:43 PM on Wednesday, January 01, 2014, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima.

Hershell was born on Sunday, February 16, 1930, in Harrod, Ohio, to the late Harley R. Hutson and Cora [Campbell] Hutson.

On Saturday, May 21, 1955, he married Catherine Ann [Jones] Hutson and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2003.

He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, he was a veteran of the Korean War and he enjoyed camping, playing cards and riding his bike. He also enjoyed his grand dogs. He had worked as a mechanic at Sheller Globe and in 1982 he went to General Dynamics.

He is survived by a son David Alan (Julie) Hutson of Delphos and a daughter Laura Kay (Steve) Blankemeyer of New Albany; five grandchildren Bradley J. Hutson and Christopher R. Hutson both of Columbus, Nathan S. Blankemeyer of Cleveland and Alyssa N. Blankemeyer of Cincinnati and Erica L. Blankemeyer of Chicago; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Hutson and a sister Vera Lawrence.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 05, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 06, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. J. Norbert Howe offriciating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery with VFW Post #1275 conducting a Military Service.
