Joyce Ellen Henshaw,
77, died at 5:51 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Joyce was born on August 30, 1939 in Monroe County, Ohio to Dale and Sarah E. (Hartline) Keevert.
On March 14, 1958, Joyce married Perry R. Klingler. From that marriage three daughters survive.
On April 2, 1983, Joyce married Robert V. Henshaw, and he survives in Lima, Ohio. Joyce graduated from Shawnee High School in 1957. She worked at the Red Fox Inn, Sousley Insurance Agency and sold real estate. Later in life, she and Robert started their own wood crafting business which took them around the country selling their crafts. Joyce's favorite past time included watching Survivor, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved her family, her husband and her faithful cat, Thom.
Joyce is survived by her sister C. Diane Messer, Lima, Ohio, who between herself and Joyce's husband, Robert, have been the family's 'rocks' through her illness. They showed their love for her every single day by taking such compassionate care of her and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that.
Joyce is also survived by her daughters Lisa (Michael) MacDonald, of Drummond Island, MI; Lee Ann (Steven) Timmerman, of Ada, OH; and Lynn (Rory) Bedford, Monroe, WA; a step-son Robert Henshaw II, of New York, NY; eight grandchildren, Caleb (Laura) MacDonald, Joshua (Ashley) MacDonald, Andrew (Melissa) MacDonald, Shane (Katie) Young, A. Kent (Brianne) Young, Kyle Messer, Matthew Timmerman, and Blaine (Hillary) Timmerman. Five great grandchildren Zyia, Adalynn and Kellan (due 8/7) Young and Morgan and Dillon MacDonald.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Perry, sister, Kay Lorrraine White, niece Susie White and nephew Marvin Kyle Messer.
At Joyce's request no public services will be held.
