Judy Ann Damaske
63, of Lima went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2016.
She was born April 9, 1953 to Warren and Dorothy Lafferre in Michigan.
Attending Spring Arbor College, she met her husband David, who survives and, after being married in May of 1973, she began her life of ministry by serving the youth at a local church. Judy worked as a dental hygienist until the birth of her children when it became her joy to serve as a full time mother. Judy and David have four children who survive: Erin of PA, Erika of Lima, Nathan (Elizabeth) of Columbus, and Andrew of Lima. Later in life she enjoyed the birth of two grandsons, Ezra and Isaac of Columbus. Judy's life was marked by her desire to teach children about their Savior, Jesus Christ. She served in many ministries including teaching Sunday school, Awana, Seed Sower Puppets, Child Evangelism Fellowship, heading the Good News Club at Heritage Elementary, and serving on the board and in the classroom at Liberty Christian School. She is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Larzelere of Toledo and brother, Larry Lafferre of CA.
Visitation will be held Sept 16th from 2-6pm at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with a short service to follow with Pastor Gary Hohman officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Sept 17th in Bangor, MI. with Rev. Robert Damaske officiating.
In honor of Judy's passion for sharing the gospel, memorial donations may be made to WTGN ministries or to Liberty Christian School.
