Junior "JR" L. Gross,
84, passed away at 6:24 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Junior was born on Thursday, September 15, 1932, in Uniopolis, to the late Harold and Retha (Stiles) Gross. On Friday, June 10, 1955, he married Helen (John) Gross, they were married for 61 years. Helen survives in Lima.
Junior retired after 30 years at Teledyne Ohio Steel. He was a member of the Lima Eagles Aerie #370 and the V.F.W. Post #1275. He loved playing Bingo and cards. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and his beloved pet Maggie.
He is survived by a son, Richard "Rick" L. Gross and a daughter, Tracy L. Gross; two grandchildren, Jennifer L. Gross and Timothy Lehmkuhl and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 and at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.
A funeral service will begin at 4 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.
