Larry Lee Luke

Larry Lee Luke , 75, of Estero, Florida formerly of Lima passed at 2:43 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at his residence in Florida, with family at his side.

Larry was born on Friday, November 11, 1938, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Levi Lee Luke and Rosina [Garhet] Luke. On Sunday, December 08, 1957, he married Margaret Ann (Treadway) Luke and she survives in Florida.

Larry retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years. He attended the Free Methodist Church in Lima before moving to Florida. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #370 of Lima. He liked hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. He also enjoyed calling bingo numbers at Cypress Bend Resort in Florida. He was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, Class of 1957.

He is survived by two sons Don (Laura) Luke of Lima and Gregory Allen Luke of San Diego, CA, two daughters Michelle (John) Ballenger of Ft. Myers, FL, and Tammy (Jeff) Conley of Lima. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Steve (Kathy) Luke and David Luke both from Lima and two sisters Rosalyn (Stanley) Prater of Lima, and Shirley Anderson, Cridersville.

He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Luke.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Benjamin officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
