Peggy J. Sterling
89, died at 9:45 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Peggy was born on September 17, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Roy C. Fruchey and Treva L. (Edgecomb) Fruchey.
On September 1, 1956, she married Thomas E. Sterling. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2005. She graduated from Central High School in 1942 and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She had worked for Lima Memorial Hospital, Columbia Nursing Home and was Director of Nursing at the Oaks Convalescent Center. She had also been an office nurse for Dr. M. L. Lewis and Dr. Zarzar.
She is survived by: four sons Rodney E. (Jenny) Sterling, of Wagoner, OK, Jeffrey L. (Terri) Sterling of Florida, Thomas J. (Andra) Sterling, of Wagoner, OK, and Bradley S. (Chris) Sterling, Lima, OH; one daughter Lisa (Loren) Burton, of Lima, OH; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter Linda Lee; and a brother Ned Fruchey.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH with Rev. Rob White officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
