Richard D. Baxter

Richard D. Baxter, age 66, of Lima, died at 1:20 P.M. on Saturday, June 21st at Shawnee Manor.
He was born on October 3, 1947 in Lima, to the late Gene Baxter and Mary (Akers) Baxter.
He is survived by: his two daughters; Lori (Frank) Lawing of Lima, and Bridget (Adolph) Rubio of California. He is also survived by four grandchildren LaTasha (Shawn) Lawing, Breana Lawing of Lima, Jordan and Kayleigh Rubio of California, along with two great grandchildren, Hannah and Kyra Brunk of Lima, along with brothers Thomas (Mary) Baxter of Wapakoneta , OH and David Baxter of Santa Cruz, CA.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Baxter.
Richard was previously employed in manufacturing at Ford and Excello. He loved sports, enjoyed bowling and was an avid softball player. He was a former member of the Lima Eagles Airee #370. He loved his family a lot and enjoyed spending time with his close family and friends .
Visitation will be on Tuesday , June 24 from 2-4, and 6-8pm at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 25th at 11 A.M., Rev. Mark Tisch will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
