Ruth E. Grady

Ruth E. Grady,
83, died at 7:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

Ruth was born on August 22, 1930, in Lima to Arthur L. and Emma (Shaner) Orchard. On Friday, March 30, 1956, she married Harold W."Stub" Grady. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2005.

Ruth was a loving Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma and she lived life to the fullest. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She graduated from Lima Central High School. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. In 1995 she retired from St. Rita's Medical Center. She volunteered at the Allen County Museum. She was a Past Lt. Governor and Life Member of the Optimists International. She was a member of the Silver Spurs Square Dance Club and loved square dancing. She was also a member of the Eagles Aerie #370.

She is survived by: a son, Michael (Becky) Grady, of Celina, OH; three daughters, Deborah (Dave "Tiny" Shepler) Hilty, of Harrod, OH, Judy (Dennis) Buettner, of Elida, OH, Jean (Theodore) Bible, of Lima, OH; nine grandchildren, Denise (Darren) McKenzie, Joseph (Lindsay) Grady, Justin (Michelle) Grady, Logan Buettner, Jennifer Buettner, Doug Hilty, Dan (Kim) Hilty, Diane (Dave) Zanick, Megan Bible; thirteen great grandchildren - Brehanna, Matthew, Korbin, and Josie Grady; Samantha, Wyatt , and Miranda Hilty, Malori and Troy Zanick, Austin, Kylie, and Hayden McKenzie and Emma Buettner.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Russell L., Edmond, and Arthur L Orchard Jr; one sister, Marjorie Kistner

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Forest Park United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Lima, OH. Rev. Tim Benjamin will officiate.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forest Park United Methodist Church, Family Life Center.
