Esther Annette Knott ,
92, died at 5:45 PM on Friday, September 26, 2014, at Otterbein Cridersville Skilled Care in Cridersville, Ohio.

Esther was born on July 20, 1922, in Leipsic, Ohio, to the late Fred J. Drerup and Frances (Kreinbrink) Drerup. On September 17, 1946, she married Paul John Knott, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1999.

Esther was a member of St Rose Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society; the Catholic Golden Age; Women's Insurance Assoc.; the Lima Women's Bowling Assoc.; American Assoc. of Retired Persons; Lima Right to Life Society; the Senior Citizens Services Inc.; Nat'l Council of Sr. Citizen and Heartbeat of Lima, Inc.

She is survived by: two sons Ronald P. (Cindy) Knott of Columbia, SC, and Daniel L. (Anne) Knott of Sylvania, OH; a daughter Linda J. (Jim) Marshall of West Milton, OH; five grandchildren Melissa Vance, Tim Marshall, Lisa Walker, Stephanie Beacham, and Andrea Deford; seven great grandchildren Mitchel, Dylan, Abigail, Carter, Ethan, Avery, Warren, and one more on the way.

She is preceded in death by: grandson-in-law Christopher Vance, five sisters Lucille Ringlein, Edna Marie Drerup, Ruth Drerup, Florence Weis, and Edna Salsburey; and four brothers Carl Drerup, Richard Drerup, Leo Drerup, and Arthur Drerup

The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 30, at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David Ross will officiate.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church.
