Albert Weber

84, died at 12:34 a.m. June 6, 2004, at his residence. He was born May 15, 1920, in Marietta to Harry and Helen Milam Weber, who preceded him in death. On June 17, 1940, in Cattlesburgh, Ky., he married Edna L. Miller, who survives in Elida, Ohio. Mr. Weber retired in 1981 as a supervisor from Standard Oil Co., after 40 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and Lodge 706 Free & Accepted Masons, both in Lima, and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 2349, Apache Junction, Ariz. He was an Army veteran serving from Feb. 19, 1943, to March 10, 1946. Survivors also include a son, Roland A. (Debra) Weber of Elida, Ohio; two daughters, Judith (John) Wannamacher of Northwood and Debra (Staff Sgt. Joseph E.) Kennerson of Radcliff, Kentucky; a brother, Delbert (Berneda) Weber of Marietta; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Harmon. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where a Masonic Lodge ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Neal Whitney will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
