ALICE C. NOLTE BROWN, 78, died at 8:10 a.m. September 20, 2004, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 27, 1925, in Lima, Ohio to Ellis and Helen Wilson McPheron, who preceded her in death. On June 28, 1944, she married Kenton Nolte, who died May 19, 1981. She then married Leonard Brown, who died December 14, 1993. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She had been a real estate agent in Bowling Green and co-owner with her husband of Browns' Hickory Lake Camp Grounds, Kenton, Ohio. She was a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine of America, Toledo, Ohio. Survivors include two sons, Col. Edward W. (Linda) Nolte of Omaha, Nebraska, and John F. Nolte of Rising Sun; a daughter, Katie (David) Pearce of Portage, Ohio; two stepsons, William (Peg) Brown of Kenton, Ohio and Leonard (Lorraine) Brown of Ridgeway; a stepdaughter, Sandy (Michael) Pierson of Kenton, Ohio; four brothers, Dick McPheron of Lima, Ohio, Robert (Clara) McPheron of Junction City, Kansas, Carl (Norma) McPheron of Mary Ester, Florida, and Pete (Donna) McPheron of Elida, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Nolte; a grandson, Andrew; two sisters, Helen Miller and Rose Brink; and a brother, Don McPheron. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Maj. William Augustine will officiate. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. in Wood County Memory Gardens, Bowling Green. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
