Alice Diller

Alice Diller, 72, passed away at 6:25 p.m. on September 22, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Alice was born on August 29, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, to Armin and Mildred (Frueh) Diller Jr.

Alice was a 1971 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. She was a 1975 graduate of St. Francis College and received her Masters of Education from Bowling Green State University. Alice taught Special Ed at Lima City Schools for 30+ years. Through the years, she was involved in Girl Scouts, AAUW, and Retired Teachers Association. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cruises and wine trails.

She is survived by her siblings, Armin (Sue) Diller III, Cathy Julian, and Joyce (John) Dunham; also survived by 8 nieces and nephews; and 19 great nieces and nephews whom she loved to spoil.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Jean Diller.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Gerard Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior at the church. Father John McLoughlin will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart Foundation.
