Bart Thomas Stoll, 53, of Lima, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on August 25, 1971 in Lima to Joseph and Carolyn {Altenberger} Stoll. His father survives in Lima.
Bart graduated from Lima Central Catholic Church in 1989. He then received a practical nursing degree. He worked for Victorian Corner for 13 years and then began working for St. Rita’s. He was a self-taught drummer and was a member of the local band Pop Quiz. One of Bart’s greatest achievements was the work he did for the St. Charles Catholic Church stain glass window project, where he soldered every piece of glass in the windows. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame, the Green Bay Packers, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Kansas Jayhawks.
Upon his death, Bart gave the gift of sight to another with his successful organ donation.
He is survived by his father Joe Stoll, brothers: BJ (Sara) Stoll and Chris (Stacy Sominski) Stoll, nieces and nephews: Abigail Stoll, Hannah Stoll, Brittany Price, Colton Price, and Lucas Price, great-niece: Quinley Price, aunts and uncles: Carol (Gary) Stengel, Katherine Wallace, Susan Beggs, James (Pam) Stoll, and Donna (Jim) Furlong, first cousins: Becky MacDonald, Beth Brown, Tom Altenberger, Amy Altenberger, Julie Burris, Brian Beggs, Megan Cox, Todd Patterson, Stephanie Leasure, Lisa Parker, Jana Boggess, Joe Wallace, Josh Wallace, Mary (Jeremy) Tidd, and Tyler Stoll, and second cousins: Zach, Eli, and Sydney Burris.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary and Joseph Stoll and Paul and Nelle Altenberger, and aunts and uncles: Tom Altenberger, Mary Claire Stoll, Vincent Wallace, Dick Beggs, and John F. Stoll.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 2-6 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima with a wake service following at 6 p.m. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima. Friends may visit one hour prior to the mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
