Ben Floyd Reeder, 62, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1963 in Lima to the late Floyd and Ruth {Grant} Reeder.
On September 21, 2002, he married Bertha {Brownlow}, who survives in Lima. Ben was a truck driver for Spartan Nash. He loved to drive trucks, cook, go fishing, and spend time with family and friends. He was also there to make you laugh and was known as the “Grill Master”. He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed singing in his church choir.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Reeder, children: Joshua Derek Reeder-Brannon, Shamica Hall, Chantara Reeder, Christopher Brownlow all of Lima, and Chenika Reeder of Virginia Beach, VA, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother: Anthony Reeder of Ft. Wayne, IN, sisters: Beverly (Henry) White of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Marilyn Boney of Fayetteville, NC, his beloved dog Oreo, and special friends Charles Phillips and Al.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Tamiko Turks and sister Rebecca Haithcox.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Pastor Henry White will officiate.
