Benjamin "Benny" Lee Goodwin

Benjamin “Benny” L. Goodwin, 72, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.

Benjamin was born on May 12, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to Roy C. and Ruth V. (Shivley) Goodwin.  On July 26, 1973, he married Sara “Sally” (Ford) Goodwin, who survives in Lima.

Benjamin liked to fly static and remote-control airplanes.

In addition to his wife, Benjamin is survived by his brother-in-law Eugene Conaway; nephews: Joey Kiggins, Matt Welch and Wally Welch; niece Teresa (James) Bailey; and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Barbara Rai Conaway.

There will be no public visitation or services at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
