Betty J. Hipsher

Betty J. Hipsher, 94, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

Betty was born on October 25, 1924,  in Wheelwright, KY, to the late Ollie & Grace (DeRossett) Ellis.

She was retired as a painter at Ohio Decorative Products.

Betty is survived by her son, Vernon “Tim” Grigsby of Lima, daughters: Charlene Roeder of Lima, and Glenda Conn of Ft. Worth, TX, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, twenty six great-great-grandchildren, and brother, Tilden Ellis, of Prestonsburg, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Rosco Grigsby, and Ronald Hipsher, two brothers: Willie George, and Ollie F. Ellis, and a sister Gloria Gaye Porter.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.   A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.  Rev. Terry Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
