Betty Peyton

Betty L. Peyton, 84, died at 9:30 p.m. March 16, 2009, at Springview Manor Nursing Home. She was born February 26, 1925, in Zanesville, Ohio to William and Catherine Paul Gore, who preceded her in death. On May 7, 1946, she married Edsel Peyton, who died April 25, 1985. Mrs. Peyton was a homemaker and member of West Elm United Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Stephen Peyton, of Columbus, Ohio; four daughters, Sue A. Peyton, Linda (Steve) Morrison and Sally (Dick Ankeny) Peyton, all of Lima, Ohio, and Judi Smith, of Van Wert, Ohio; and six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Robert Gore. Private services will be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
