Betty Jean Watson, 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, at Lima Convalescent Home.

Betty was born on September 11, 1933, in Branson, Missouri, to Frank and Lena (Dewing) Branson. On October 5, 1951, she married her beloved, Robert W. “Smokey” Watson, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1999.

Betty attended Lima Central High School and graduated from Lima South High School. She had been employed at The Leader Store, Abrahams, Wiechart’s Pharmacy and Andersons. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Her family was very important to her, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Dawn (Greg) Mannot, Ann (Dave) Harmon, Robin (Mark) Schroeder, and Joe (Elizabeth) Watson; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and sister, Shirley Brown,

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maggie Krouse.
