Bettye Freeman

Bettye J. Freeman, 83, died at 7:35 a.m. March 27, 2008, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Facility. She was born June 13, 1924, in Allen County to Guy and Laura Miller Cheney, who preceded her in death. On June 7, 1947, she married Ernest ?Gene? Freeman, who died July 14, 1999. Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping and having lunch with her niece Joyce, who was also her caregiver. Survivors include a niece, Joyce (Don) Morris, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Mary (Jack) Foley, of Lima, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Cheney and Amelia Cheney, both of Lima, Ohio; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Private family services will be held. The Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
