Beverly Lou Corwin

Beverly Lou Corwin, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Springview Manor. 

Beverly was born on February 28, 1938, in Lima, Ohio, to Loree Baumgardner and Laurena (Bowsher) Sunderhaus. On September 22, 1974, she married William Corwin who survives in Lima. 

Beverly was a member of Eagles Aerie #370, Phi Beta Iota Sigma Sorority for 50 years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Buckeye fan and famous for her chocolate cake. 

She is survived by her husband William Corwin; children, Debra (Mike) Ulm, Shelly Basinger, Brian (Sarah) Corwin, and Kathy (Rob) Kohli; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (James) Lucas; and sister-in-laws, Sharon (Roger) Lowry and Luann (Ron) Crumrine.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by Laurena Sunderhaus, William Sunderhaus, and Loree Baumgardner, Evelyn Baumgardner; a great-grandchild, Lain Patterson; and mother-in-law, Thelma Mathias. 

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Lay Pastor Dave Belton will officiate. Entombment of ashes will follow at Shawnee Cemetery at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phi Beta Iota Sigma Sorority.
