Bonnie Steiner, 75, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Wapak Manor Nursing Home. She was born on June 6, 1950, to the late Charles and Betty {Hammer} Leppla.
Bonnie graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968. She married Jonathan Steiner on November 10, 1973, he survives in Lima. Bonnie worked as a clerk for Allen County Probate for 28 years and babysat many children out of her home. She enjoyed looking at flowers and birds, and of course the anticipation of scratching off an Ohio Lottery ticket. She loved watching soap operas and Wheel of Fortune, but most of all, she loved bragging about her beautiful granddaughters and spending time with them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Staci (Zachary) Nichols of Wapak, Jon (Samantha) Steiner of Lima, and Joshua (Tia Ruark) Steiner of Lima; granddaughters, Madilyn, Lylah, and Elisabeth; siblings, Patricia (Fred) Wolford, Cheri (Richard) Sherrick, and Gregory (Toni) Leppla; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carole (Doug) Jones.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the funeral home. Chaplain Mark Lovely will officiate.
