Carl M. Vandemark

Carl M. Vandemark, 94, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Lima Convalescent Home.

Carl was born on March 29, 1931, in Lima, Ohio, to Andral Kilmer and Catherine (Hofferbert) Vandemark On April 14, 1979, he married Sharon (Helmlinger) Vandemark, who survives in Lima.

Carl enjoyed his life-long career as a farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Berry and Janet Helmlinger, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Vandemark; sisters: Edith Glancey, Erma Meier, Aileen Irvin, Catherine Maxine Fritz, Bernice Tompkins, and Ruth Moughton; and brother-in-law, Gene Helmlinger.

The family will receive friends from 9 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Darrell Bucher will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima.
