CARMEN "DUNK" LAVONNE COOPER, 65, died at 6:50 a.m. July 16, 2004, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 21, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana. Her father, Devern Welsh, preceded her in death. Her mother, Ruth Stevens Humfleet, survives in Lima, Ohio. Ms. Cooper was a caterer. She attended South Side Christian Church and Lima Baptist Temple. Survivors also include two sisters, Pat (Bill Warner) McKinney of Lima, Ohio and Sue (Dale) Duckworth; her beloved dog Brandy; three nephews, Michael (Kelly) McKinney of Lima, Lima, Doug (Robin) McKinney and Paul Lee (Lorie) McKinney, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two nieces, Tammey Jean (Keith) Kahler of Put-in-Bay, Ohio and Lori Ann (Tim) Enyart of Lima, Ohio; three nephews, Chris Decker of Lima, Ohio, Mark Edward Duckworth of Phoenix and Todd Duckworth of Lima, Ohio; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ralph Humfleet. Private family services will be held. Arrangments are by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
