Carol J. Doll, 74, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024, at The Manor at Greendale in Findlay.
Carol was born on October 16, 1949, in Elida, Ohio, to the late Byron and Zeta (Allman) Holtzapple. On June 12, 1982, she married her beloved husband, Thomas Doll, who survives in Findlay.
Carol had worked in billing at Lima Allen County Paramedics before retiring. She enjoyed doing puzzles and reading, as well as spending time at their lake house at Indian Lake. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and talking to her sisters and her niece, Erin.
Along with her husband, she is survived by sons, Scott (Nichole) Sweeney and Eric (Nicole) Sweeney; stepdaughter, Blandey Doll and seven other stepchildren; grandchildren: Brandon, Jordan, Jaden, Jacqueline, Jennessa, and Jean Daniel; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hamilton; brother, John Holtzapple; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donnie Holtzapple and Kenny Holtzapple; and sister, Lori Riley.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, and one hour prior to service on Friday, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the funeral home. Lay Minister Dave Belton will officiate. Burial will follow at Allentown Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
