Carolyn Sue Stoll

Carolyn Sue Stoll, 82, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 17, 1941 in Lima, Ohio to the late Paul and Nelle {Wilson} Altenberger.

On November 3, 1962, she married Joseph C. Stoll Jr. He survives in Lima. Sue graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School in 1959 and graduated from St. Rita’s School of Nursing in 1962. This started a 40 year long career in nursing. She enjoyed her time volunteering at St. Charles Catholic Church and Independence Schools. She loved cheering on the LCC T-Birds, Notre Dame, and the Cincinnati Reds.

She is survived by her husband Joe, sons: Christopher (Stacy Samonski) Stoll of Toledo, BJ (Sara) Stoll of Lima, and Bart Stoll of Lima, grandchildren: Abigail Stoll, Hannah Stoll, Brittany Price, Colton Price, and Lucus Price, great-grandchild: Quinley Price, sisters-in-law: Donna (Jim) Furlong, Carol (Gary) Stengel, Katherine Wallace, and Susan Beggs, and brother-in-law: James (Pam) Stoll.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Thomas Altenberger, sister-in-law: Mary Claire Stoll, and brothers-in-law: Vincent Wallace, Dick Beggs, and John F. Stoll.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church on Monday, June 17, 2024. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the mass.
