93, died at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora, Ohio.
Clair was born on April 03, 1921, in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Ozro S. Copus and Olive (Neely) Copus.
He married M. Eunice (Wright) Copus on July 3, 1940 in Elida, Ohio. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2011.He was a salesman for the West Ohio Gas and retired from there. He was also a guard at the Ohio Correctional.
He is survived by: two sons, Gary C. (Karen) Copus, of Tucson, AZ, and David (long time companion, Carolyn) Copus, of Pandora, OH; two grandchildren, David Copus, Jr., of Germantown, MD, and Tracey (Kristi) Copus, of Cridersville, OH; two special nieces, Jo Ann Holtzapple and Joyce Sharpe
He was preceded in death by: three sisters and five brothers.
There will be no visitation.
A private family service will be held at a later date, Rev. Rick Hart will officiate.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
