Cynthia Nolte, 67 passed away at 10:44 AM on June 3, 2024, at home.
Cindy was born on July 20, 1956, in Lima, Oh, to James and Clara (Thines) Gillispie. On May 7, 1990, she married Mike who survives in Lima.
Cindy was a 1975 graduate from LCC, belonged to the VFW post 1275 & Fraternal Order of Orioles 173 and was a member of St. Gerards Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the lake, spending time with her friends and singing karaoke with them. Cindy was an avid Bengals and Notre Dame fan.
She s survived by sons; Kyle Nolte and Charlie McDonald, daughters; Megan McDonald, Samantha Nolte, Adrienne Terry and Erin Sommer, grandchildren; Zoie McComber, Taylor McComber, Ethan Hollar, Arianna McDonald, Avalyn Nolte, Tobias McDonald, Knox Nolte, Katlyn Nolte, Amelia Carter, Levi Terry, Addyson Sommer, William Sommer, and Lincoln Sommer, great grandson, Kaysen Ardner, sister; Becky (Allen) Mathews, niece; Shannon Eley, nephew; Shawn Eley and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Clara Gillispie, brothers; Jim Gillispie and Robert Gillispie, sister; Melody (Larry Pummell) Eley and a niece; Jenna Gillispie.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 am on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the funeral home. Fr. David Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
