Dannie Wade Davis IV, 33, tragically passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, due to injuries from a car accident. Born on May 5, 1993, Dannie was deeply devoted to his children and was known for his strong work ethic, particularly in restoring anything related to trucks. His commitment to his craft earned him respect among his peers, and he took immense pride in completing every project. Dannie's passion for trucks and Harbor Freight was rivaled only by his unwavering love for his family.

His infectious smile, amazing laughter and humor made him a beloved friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether he was offering a piece of advice, sharing a joke, or simply being there to listen, Dannie's presence was a comfort to many. His genuine kindness and empathy knew no bounds, and he had an uncanny ability to bring laughter and humor into the darkest of situations. As his friends and family remember him, they recall not just a man who loved deeply, but one who lived passionately, embracing every moment with gratitude and humor.

His legacy will live on through his children, who brought him immense joy and inspiration. Although Dannie's time was brief, the love and memories he fostered will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Dannie is survived by his father, Dannie (Brenda Tenwalde) Davis III of Lima; mother, Pepper (Eric Foltz) Richardson of Milan; daughter, McKenzee Davis and sons Holden and Karsyn Davis, Royce & Ryder Houston; brothers, Deklen Davis, Koen Knouse, Corey (Rachel) Tenwalde, all of Lima; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Sandra Huster of Lima and his loving girlfriend, Kirsten Roof.

Dannie held a deep affection for his family, particularly his aunts and uncles. He is survived by the cherished relatives who meant so much to him: Clifford (Donna) Vititoe, Charlie (Evette) Vititoe, Donald Vititoe, Penny (Keith) Jacklin, Missy Vititoe, Kenny (Mandi) Davis, Desarie Burkkholder, Jack (Angie) Jones, Angelic Ortiz, and Jeff “Tito” (Michelle) Tenwalde and loved family friend Jessica Sutherly.

Dannie was reunited in heaven with his sister, Kimberly “Kimmi” Davis and his paternal grandparents, Dannie and Violet Jean Davis, Jr.

In the days to come, may Dannie's memory guide and comfort those he leaves behind, reminding them to “take the picture”, embrace each moment with the same passion, laughter and love he embodied every day.

Friends may call on Friday May 22, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Elm Street Church of the Nazarene. 300 W. Elm St. Lima, OH. Funeral services will be held immediately after viewing. Minister Doyle Hawkins will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the fund established for Dannie’s children. This will help ensure that his dreams for their future are fulfilled, providing them with the support and opportunities that Dannie always envisioned.
