Darlene Flint

Darlene Flint, 60, passed away on June 17, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Darlene was born on April 28, 1965, in Lima, Ohio to the late Marvin lee and Geneva Horne (Thomas) Flint.

Darlene lived her life for her family. She loved cooking and taking care of children. Darlene’s nicknames were “Shay Shay” and also “Foola Mae”.

She is survived by daughter, Cheyenna Daniel; step-children: Terika Daniel, Antonio Daniel, Jerome Daniel, Lavare Daniel, and Diesha Jackson; grandchildren: Yon’trez Daniel, Son’Jiya Wilson, Jayla and Justyce Horton, and Eric Upthegrove III; a host of nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Tomaze Thorton; and siblings: Greg Hamby, Mattie Hamby, La’Cresha Horne, Catherine Reynolds, and Thelma O’Korie.

She is preceded in death by lifelong companion, Horace Daniel Sr.; a daughter, Shequayla Daniel; and a grandson, Demaiz Dixon; and a host of brothers and sisters.

The family will host a private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her daughter, Cheyenna Dixon for funeral expenses.
