Darlene K. Offenbacher, 79, of Lima, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Liberty Nursing Centers of Lima. She was born on September 7, 1944 in Lima to the late Paul and Mildred {Neumeier} Kitchen.
On December 12, 1970, she married Myron Offenbacher who survives in Lima. She graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1962. She was a former member of the Lima Evening Optimist Club and a current member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. Darlene loved her grandkids more than anything. She enjoyed decorating cakes and doing crossword puzzles. She was devout in her faith and believed that when her time would come, she would leave her earthly body and receive a new one from The Lord.
In addition to her husband Myron, she is survived by her children: Ann Marie (Simon) Daniels of Lima and Jason (Amy) Offenbacher of Wapak, grandchildren: Ethan, Riley, and Carson Daniels, and Zachary and Carly Offenbacher, sisters: Janice Grisham of Washington and Charlene Bishop of Harrod, and brother-in-law: Les (Donna) Offenbacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Barbara (Glen) Kramer, and brothers-in-law: John Bishop, Bill Grisham, and Carl Offenbacher.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, 2024. Rev. Lynda Lockwood will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima.
