Dorothy Woods

Dorothy Woods, 69, passed away at 2 a.m. on January 27, 2026, at St. Ritas Medical Center.

Dorothy was born on December 15, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, to Lawrence (Bill) William and Martha Mary (Pohlman) Porter.

Dorothy liked to read westerns, visit Disney World, and spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Rory (Toni) Woods; grandchildren, Rayna Woods, Devon (Marley) Woods, Troy Woods, Staci (Mike) Ribley and O’Cuinn McComber, all of Lima ; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; a brother, Tom (Kathy) Gerdeman of St. Cloud, Florida; and a sister, Mary (Ronald) Grouthouse of Holland, Ohio.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia (Pat) Monday; and a brother, Carl Gerdeman.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
