Elizabeth Davisson, 80, passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Center.
Elizabeth was born on December 23, 1940, in Lima, Ohio, to Paul and Romaine (Eilerman) Schimpf. On November 14, 1964, she married William E. “Bill” Davisson, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2014.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and St. Rose. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was on the RENEW Committees; Sacristy Cleaner and was a kitchen volunteer. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. She never knew a stranger. She loved watching their kids in sporting events.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Earl) Fralick, Carol A. (Ryan) Van Meter, Mike P. (Rhonda) Davisson, Gary E. (Lisa) Davisson, and John Davisson; grandchildren, Madison, Joshua (Faith), Benjamin, and Caroline Fralick, Morgan (Jon) Baker, Carlie and Courtney Van Meter, Rachael, Molly, Carter, Nathan, Justin, Anna, and Jaden Davisson; great granddaughter Addilynn; a brother Carl (Betty) Schimpf, and sister-in-laws, Joan Schimpf, Blanche (Pete) Hummel, Ruth Schimpf-Wiechart, and Sister Mary Frances Davisson,
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Schimpf, Jim Schimpf, Paul (Delores) Schimpf, William Schimpf, David Schimpf; sisters Janet Schimpf, and Mary Lou (Tom) Brennan; brother-in-law Eugene Davisson; and mother and father-in-law Robert and Catherine Davisson.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father Ross will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Church and/or School, St. Rose church and/or School, or American Heart Association/Ohio Valley.
