Franklin George Sprague, 84, passed away at 5:39 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at The Meadows of Delphos.

Frank was born on July 22, 1941, in Lima, OH, to the late Howard Victor and Lillian Viola (Mowery) Sprague. On September 11, 1967, he married his beloved Elizabeth (Slagle) Sprague, who preceded him in death on February 9, 2021.

Frank served in the Army National Guard from Dec. 17, 1962 until June 14, 1968, when he was honorably discharged. He retired from Trinity Industries where he worked in the maintenance department for almost 30 years. Frank enjoyed trains and model trains. He also liked to cook and was a potato master. He was a great dad and grandfather, who was dearly loved.

He is survived by his son, “Captain” Tim Sprague and daughter, Tina (Rodney) Tucker both of Lima; grandson, Jessie; and sister, Karen Miller of Bremen, IN.

In addition to his parents and wife, was preceded in death by two brothers, David Lloyd Sprague and Robert Sprague; and sister, Marilyn Mullet

There will be no services at this time.
