Helen E. Corrello, 100, passed away at on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Helen was born on January 31, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Myra (Robinson) Johnston. On January 5, 1947, she married Carl Corrello, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2006. She was raised by her stepmother, Joan Johnston.

Helen was a bookkeeper for Lima Telephone & Telegraph Company. She was a member of South Side Christian Church and their Christian Women’s Fellowship and Friendly Christians Class. She was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Hospital as an escort, and did Mobile Meals for 16 years along with her husband.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Schramm of Lima, and Jeanne Burnette of Lillian, Alabama; grandchildren, Scott (Amber) Schramm and John (Jennifer) MacRitchie; great-grandchildren: Marcus MacRitchie, Jacob Burrell, Joey Lopez, Katie Bell, Drew Schramm, Kilee Pine, and Ryan Schramm; great-great-grandchildren: Josie Bell, Lillian Bell, and Hunter Bell.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Testa; sons-in-law: Gary Schramm, Larry Bu00rnette, and Tony Testa; granddaughter, Jenny Lopez; great-granddaughter, Nakyiah MacRitchie; brothers: Rodney, William “Bill”, Tom, and Charles Johnston; and sisters, Evelyn Schoore and Anna Boyd.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals to Monday or South Side Christian Church.
