Hilda Woodward

Hilda ?Collie? Woodward, 97, died at 1:30 a.m. September 13, 2008, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Facility. She was born March 12, 1911, in Norwood to John Pouder and Anne Swanson Collier, who preceded her in death. She married Errol E. Woodward, who died Nov. 21, 2000. Mrs. Woodward was a homemaker. She was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church. She volunteered at St. Rita?s Medical Center as a ?Grey Lady.? She was an avid crossword puzzler. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth (Bret) Dunbar, of Okeechobee, Florida; a brother, J. Robert Collier, of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Timothy Haas, of New York, John Haas, of Florida, and Jennifer Haas, of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Betty and Natasha; and very close friends and caretakers, Steve (Hal Mowery) Parlette. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Woodward Loring; a brother, David Collier; and a sister, Margaret Leudeke. There will be no services or visitation.
