Jack Wayne Wheelbarger

Jack Wayne Wheelbarger, 84, passed away on December 7, 2025, at Hearth & Home of Urbana.

Jack was born on August 11, 1941, in Lima, Ohio, to Franklin and Ethel (Baker) Wheelbarger. On August 31, 1963, he married Judy (O’Dell) Wheelbarger, who preceded him in death on October 29, 2023.

Jack worked at WIMA/WIMT Radio for 40+ years as the Sales Manager. He was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Jody (Keith) Rooney; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Wheelbarger; grandchildren: Adam Wheelbarger, Jaron Wheelbarger, Emily Wheelbarger, Austin (Mattie) Rooney, Kyle Rooney, and Jessica Rooney; nieces, Dawn, Anna and Kristina; and nephew, Chuck.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne (Wheelbarger) Sheets.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Keith Rooney will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
