James O. Nonnamaker

82, went to heaven on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

James was born on October 8, 1938, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late John O. Nonnamaker and H. Marie (Eikenbery) Nonnamaker.  On April 26, 1957, in Findlay, Ohio, he married Phyllis A. (Inbody) Nonnamaker.

He attended Dola, Bluffton, Lima Horace Mann, Ada, and graduated from Cory-Rowson High School in 1956. He graduated from BGSU in 1961 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lima, Ohio. He was a supporter of In Touch Ministries, Atlanta, Georga, and Turning Point Ministries in San Diego, California. He was a CPA with an accounting and tax practice in Lima, Ohio.  He was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Ohio Society of CPA's, American Institute of CPA's.  He was a member of the Lima BPOE (Elk's) #54, and Lima FOE (Eagles) #370. His favorite story was telling about his wife Phyllis earning a "PHT" degree from BGSU: (Pushing Hubby Through). For this he was eternally grateful as it allowed him to work as an accountant. He loved cars, Jazz with a Saxophone and attending high school sports to watch friends and family participate. He is remembered for his laugh, his sense of humor and his booming voice. He loved life and the people he met. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. Nonnamaker, of Elida, OH; son, Larry C. Nonnamaker, of Sammamish, WA and a brother, Joe Nonnamaker, Massillon, OH.
