James H. Williams,

77, passed away at 6:21 AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

James was born on Tuesday, April 12, 1938, in Lima, to the late George and Martha (Foust) Williams. He married Joyce A. Williams who preceded him in death on January 15, 2013.

James served in the United States Army and was retired from Scot-Lad Foods. He was a member of New Hope Christian Center and was a Foster Parent for twenty-four years for more than fifty children. He also had a love for watching sports.

He is survived by: sons, Craig Darbyshire, Lima, Curt (Mary) Darbyshire, Columbus Grove, James Darby (Beka) Williams, Toledo, Michael Williams, Lima, Tony Williams, Lima, Darian Williams, Lima, Luis Williams, San Angelo; daughters, Cheri Darbyshire, Lima, Cristi (Gene) Smith, Elida and Joy Ellen Williams, Lima; Forty four, grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene Williams, Glen Williams, Gale Williams and Duane Williams.

He is preceded in death by: daughter, Angela Williams; grandsons, Jaden Smith and Kevin Williams and sister, Ruth D. Repasz.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM and from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.

A funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima. Pastor Jim Menke will officiate. Interment will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
