Joellen C. Jones

Joellen C. Jones, 70, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Lost Creek Care Center. 

Joellen was born on May 6, 1954, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to the late Paul F. and Thelma (Lambert) Hubbard.  On March 12, 1976, she married Raymond Jones Sr., who preceded her in death on August 18, 2007.

Joellen worked as a nurse’s aide.  She enjoyed cooking, going to church, and especially spending time with her family.  She also loved animals and movies.

She is survived by her daughters, Justina Jones, Margaret Henderson, and Luella (Clifford Campbell) Jones; grandchildren: Carmella Jones, T’Aisha Henderson, Aaron Henderson Jr., Zacheus Henderson, Juan Williams, Ali Williams, and Zyair Jones; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Diana Robinson.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Jones II, sisters, Nancy Karr, and Lauren Oberlin; brothers, Thomas Hubbard, John Hubbard, and Kirk Hubbard.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
