John Holtzapple

John Holtzapple, 73, passed away at 1:57 a.m. on August 11, 2026, at St. Rita’s.

John was born on February 20, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, to Byron and Zeta (Allman) Holtzapple.

John was a jack of all trades, he also did a lot of stained glass which are still held by family members. He also enjoyed kayaking.

He is survived by a son, Kenny Holtzapple, grandchildren, Emma and many others; a sister, Marilyn (Harold) Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Jeff Riley; close friend, Rita Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Donnie Holtzapple, Kenny Holtzapple, Carol (Tom) Doll and Lori Riley.

A family graveside service will be held.
