John Nicola "Nicko" Parlapiano
83, died at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, September 09, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
John was born on October 29, 1930, in Corona, California , to the late Nick Parlapiano and Goldie (Jacobs) Parlapiano. On June 3, 1952 he married Etta Roeder who survives in Lima.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean conflict. John retired from the Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, a life member of the VFW Post 1275, Knights of Columbus and C.I.A.O.
He is survived by: a daughter, Brenda (Harry) Jenner, of Elida, OH; three sons, Nick (Emadean) Parlapiano, of Elida, OH, Deeno Parlapiano, of Lima, OH, and John (Sandy) Parlapiano of TN.; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: a sister Pearl Mary Parlapiano.

A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Gethsemani Cemetery with Rev. David M. Ross will be officiating. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 1275.
