Joseph Zuppardo, 89, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at The Springs of Lima. He was born on April 11, 1936, in Lima to the late Joseph and Gentile {Taggi} Zuppardo.
On June 6, 1959, he married Beatrice {Schnipke}, who preceded him in death in 2022. Joe retired as a dental lab technician. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, C.I.A.O. and the Power Squadron. He was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and spending time at the lake.
He is survived by his children: Laura (Michael) Skinner, Lisa Morris, and Joseph (Aimee) Zuppardo; grandchildren: Eddie (Katie), Mikey (Haley), Maggie (Trey), Colton, Sophia, Isabella, Audrey, and Lauren; great-grandchildren: Charlie, Olivia, Bennett, Rhett, Gracie, and Blair; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hoehn; and brother-in-law, Richard (JoAnn) Schnipke.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers: James, Peter, and Charles Zuppardo.
His family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima. Fr. Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
