Joyce Ann Jacobs

Joyce Ann Jacobs, 90, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on July 14, 1933, in Malta, Ohio to the late Emmett and Beatrice {Davis} Cramblit.

Joyce retired from the Lima News and then worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart for 11 years. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Joyce) Gessel and David (Debbie) Gessel; daughter, Linda Gessel; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Robert Gessel and Brian Gessel; and sister, Nancy Warren.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the funeral home. Friends may visit from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
